PI-Philly is delighted to invite you to the lecture "Contemporary Italian Artists in Philadelphia: A Focus On Sergio Lombardo." On several occasions, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has shown peculiar attention to Italian contemporary art. Indeed, the museum collection showcased many works of different Italian contemporary artists, including Sergio Lombardo (Rome, 1939), one of the protagonists of the historical avant-garde and Italian pop art in the first Sixties.
During this online event, Simone Zacchini (Ph.D., 1/9unosunove Gallery, Rome) will give us an excursus on the different stages Lombardo's long career up to the introduction of the artist's recent experiments with Stochastic Paintings.
