People associate olives with the Mediterranean or California — not Western Pennsylvania. But if you've bought olives from an olive bar at the grocery store lately, they may well have come from DeLallo, the Italian market in Jeannette, just east of Pittsburgh in Westmoreland County.
In fact, DeLallo Foods has risen to become the largest olive importer and distributor in the U.S. The family-owned company has grocery store and market clients across 50 states, including Wegman's, Publix and Giant Eagle, the locally based grocer that was DeLallo's first market customer.
