The common commitment and the strengthening of the collaboration between Italy and the United States in the field of gender equality was at the center of the visit to Washington DC of the Minister for Equal Opportunities and the Family, Elena Bonetti, who in the previous days had participated in New York in the work of the 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) of the ECOSOC of the United Nations.
During the week in which the United States celebrated the "Equal Pay Day" and President Biden signed the bill for the renewal of the "Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)", Minister Bonetti, assisted by the Italian Ambassador, Mariangela Zappia, had meetings with representatives of the White House and the State Department involved in the issues of gender equality.
