Mario Tricoci, 73, is founder of the Chicago-based Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas. Mr. Tricoci, who lived in Italy until he was 17, finds new inspiration when he returns to Europe to visit, and he elevates trendy looks by replicating them with clothes and accessories from high-end designers.
What do you wear to work?
We are in black and white at work. We don't try to compete with our guests with clothes. We dress very simple. Either black or white or black and white. No gray. Not that we look alike because in black and white you can be quite individual.
