An Italian maker of silicone films has chosen to invest $20 million in West Michigan on its first North American plant. Venice-based Siliconature is expected to create 26 “high-tech” manufacturing jobs at the planned plant in Gaines Township, at 4495 68th St. SE, according to The Right Place today.
Siliconature has manufacturing sites in Italy and Asia, but its increase in North American sales necessitated a plant on the continent. Siliconature chose Gaines Township over competing locations in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
