Even as luxury Italian men’s designer Ermenegildo Zegna prepares to open a new flagship store in the Crown Building at Fifth Avenue and 57th Street, it’s moving its corporate offices out. Zegna has signed a 10-year, 20,132-square-foot lease for the whole seventh floor and part of the sixth floor at SL Green’s 10 E. 53rd St. Sources said the asking rent was $72 a square foot.
SL Green Executive Vice President and leasing director Steven Durels called the move to 10 E. 53rd “another endorsement of the success of the building repositioned as one of the finest boutique office towers in the Plaza District.” The landlord recently completed capital improvements including a redesigned facade, new plazas and a larger new lobby.
