Growing up in an Italian family, Kristin Palmeri says arguing and having a conversation were often confused. "Whether it was arguing about who in the family was the best cook or whether the Mets or the Yankees were the best New York baseball team, arguing was a skill that we developed early on in life," she said.

While Palmeri initially wanted to pursue a career in medicine, when she was in college she found she enjoyed pre-law classes. That's when her background came into play, and she discovered her natural ability to argue her case.
