Italy-based polymer additives supplier Sabo announced this week the establishment of a subsidiary in Orlando, FL. Sabo International Americas joins the company’s three other locations in Europe and Asia, further reinforcing its global presence and role in the polymer additives market, the company said in a press release distributed on Sept. 4.
The opening of a US subsidiary follows the privately owned Bergamo-based company’s acquisition of the TAA and derivatives business from Evonik in 2022, puzzle pieces all in the 85-year-old firm’s internationalization strategy. That acquisition included production sites in Marl, Germany, and Liaoyang, China, focused on the raw materials used in the manufacture of hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) that protect plastics from photodegradation.
