Italian molder and potter Stefano Barbieri will be visiting Duncan Wednesday, Nov. 8 to demonstrate his craft. Barbieri will be representing Vietri, America’s largest importer of handcrafted ceramics at Distinctive Decor from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Barbieri got his artistic start in a factory in 1994, where he worked as a hand molder. Over the years, he has worked closely alongside maestro artisan, Stefano Roselli. Together they carve and create various shapes and molds for many of Vietri’s collections. Leigh McEntire, owner of Distinctive Decor, said the store will be running a special sale from now until the event to celebrate the opportunity to have the artisan in Duncan.
