The Miami-based Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast is considering opening an Atlanta chapter, but first needs to determine how much local support the organization would receive.
Nevio Boccanera, the chamber's executive director, told Global Atlanta that it is critical to have "bottom-up" support for such an initiative. "We first must understand if there would be a group of entrepreneurs and businesspeople committed to this initiative," he said in a telephone interview from Miami Feb. 12.
