The purpose of the knowledge sharing experience is to provide students with contacts with academics, professionals, entrepreneurs and managers that operate in the Bay Area, for further professional or business development of each participant. In doing this, BAIA provides participants the network of experience and contacts in Silicon Valley, the ties with both the corporate world and entrepreneurs, and with local institutions.
This year's group included forty people who attended daily sessions at the Innovation and Culture Hub (IICH). Thanks to Innovit, the Consulate General of Italy, and the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) for opening the doors of the first Italian hub.
On Thursday night, BAIA partnered with AlumniPolimi North America for an event with Corrado Lanzone. As VP of Manufacturing Operations at Zoox, Corrado gave a presentation about his experience in a Silicon Valley startup after working at the Scuderia Ferrari in Italy for almost 20 years.
