A college professor and native Sicilian, Angelo Glaviano is seeking to shed light on the contributions of fellow Italians, particularly Sicilians, in Middletown through a video and companion book project with colleague Daniel Nocera.
“What brought me into this project was giving credit to Sicilians who came here and made this country a success,” said Glaviano. Glaviano, who has taught Romance languages at Middlesex Community College for 28 years, said he had already met his professional goals and was searching for something else when he had a conversation with a neighbor who said the Irish and the Sicilians built this country.
