The Francesco DeSanctis Lodge 1411 recently celebrated its Scholarship Ceremony at the Natick Sons of Italy. The scholarship committee awarded 10 scholarships totaling $10,000 to local graduating senior high students. The scholarship funds were provided by the lodge’s fundrasising events: Pasta Night, Porchetta Night, the annual Pig Roast and Natick Days.
The scholarship committee consisted of chairwoman Jen Harless, Iole Coppellotti, Mary Rinaldo and Jim Varnum. The committee received 61 applications this year. The following students received scholarships: Allison Bernier, Bianca Harper, Kathryn Washburn, Lily Adelman, Lily Schlesinger, Madison Clark, Parker Losurdo, Natalie Bourque, Claire Amabile and Alex Pellizzari, who received the Volunteer Scholarship Award.
