The Norwich Italian Heritage and Cultural Committee awarded four students $1,000 scholarships recently. The recipients are Sophia Boras of Saint Bernard High School, Danielle Toppa of Norwich Free Academy, Julia Beaupre of Montville High School and Olivia Busher of Saint Bernard High School.
The scholarship fund was established by The Italian Heritage and Cultural Committee of Norwich. The initial contribution was given by the Dime Bank to honor Frank Demicco, a prominent businessman and a long time corporator of the bank.
