The Italian Club of Staten Island, an organization founded to promote “a better understanding among leading Italian-Americans in the business and professional field and to raise awareness about Italian culture,” has awarded four $2,000 and five $1,000 college scholarships to nine young adults for outstanding academic achievement and community activities participation, during a dinner at Bocelli Ristorante.
Congratulations are in order for Jianna Walters of Notre Dame High School, Sandra Cangelosi of Staten Island Tech, Larissa Guida of St. Joseph Hill Academy and Serena Mignoli of Susan Wagner High School, who each received scholarships in the amount of $2,000.
