Massimiliano Galeazzi, a distinguished member and Vice President of the Miami Scientific Italian Community, has been appointed new Chair of the Department of Physics at the University of Miami. Prof. Galeazzi received a “Laurea” in Physics in 1995 and a PhD in Physics in 1999 from the University of Genova, Italy.
He was a PostDoctoral Associate and Research Scientist at the University of Wisconsin from 1999 to 2002 and a Visiting Scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in 2001-2002. He started as Assistant Professor at the University of Miami in 2002, became Associate Professor in 2008, and Professor and Associate Chair of Physics in 2013.
