Fourth-year Oakridge volleyball coach Kim Hanson was looking forward to the 2015 season knowing it could be one of the best teams at Oakridge in quite some time. Then Hanson saw Stefania Garofolo warming up on the first day of tryouts, and she grew even more excited.
Garofolo wasn't a player Hanson was originally counting on, as she is a 15-year-old foreign exchange student from Monfalcone, slightly northeast of Venice, Italy. It didn't take Hanson long to figure out she would be able to count on Garofolo for a number of things this season.
