By day, the window-lined space overlooking Connecticut Avenue in Van Ness is a pasta room, where staff at Fabio and Maria Trabocchi's fourth Washington restaurant, opening Tuesday, will churn out its signature strands and shapes. By night, it will serve as an intimate dining room.
It has nods to the couple's heritage with Italian tiles and a glass chandelier from Mallorca. But perhaps what Fabio is most excited about is the table. It's a reproduction of what you might find in an Italian home, he said.
