Just four months after Rudy's Little Italy restaurant closed on the Silas Deane Highway, a new Italian restaurant, Allegro Italian Restaurant & Lounge, will take its place. Owned by Betim Muzlijaj of Middletown and Wilson Solano of Rocky Hill, the restaurant will feature pasta and seafood, but not grinders or pizza. "There's a lot in town already," Solano said.
Soland said he has worked in the restaurant business for about 15 years now and decided to become a restaurant owner because he didn't want to be an employee all his life. The restaurant will include a bar section and seating both inside and outside of the building.
