Mamma Bella Cucina & Pizzeria officially opened on Sunday, May 1 at 19 North Water St. in Norwalk. Joe Giuliano and Anthony Sandolo are the co-owners. Giuliano said opening a restaurant was always a dream of his, and he and Sandolo jumped at the opportunity to open their own place.
Giuliano said his father previously owned a restaurant, so he grew up with an understanding of the business. The menu features classic Italian recipes that he and Sandolo learned from their grandmothers, along with many small plate options, he added.
