Like most things the Molinaros do, this Sunday's Italian Festival is all about family and friends. This is the 14th year the festival has brought lots of Italian-themed food and fun to the city, but the festival is about a lot more than that. Since it began, the festival has raised almost $100,000 in the fight against cancer.
Michael Molinaro said the festival started because Lockport didn't have anything like it, but his mother, Antoinette, a breast cancer survivor, thought that if they were going to have a festival, it should benefit a cause.
