When my husband, Sean, and I celebrated our anniversary, we'd narrowed the choice down to two restaurants, The Bradley or Alloro in Aiken. The Bradley won (see my review from September), but a month later, we were back in Aiken to celebrate Sean's birthday at Alloro, at 227 The Alley.
Alloro translates into "laurel," and the restaurant's logo features a delicate sprig of the leaves. The décor is likewise sophisticated: The long narrow restaurant is all pale wood and white tablecloths, with high-top seating in the front and tables in the back.
