The first coronavirus patient in the Italian province of Modena to recover from the deadly disease is nearly a century old. The virus ripping through countries around the world is proving particularly lethal for elderly people. But some good news emerged from the grim fight against Covid-19 in the country today, as a 95-year-old reportedly makes a full recovery.
The patient was not named but has been pictured online today beaming from her hospital bed surrounded by the medics who helped her win her battle with the virus. The woman is from Fanano, in the Modena Apennines located in-between Modena and Bologna, and is said to be the first in Modena to make a full recovery.
