La lettera di invito, firmata dall'Ambasciatore a Roma John R. Phillips, gli è stata recapitata personalmente questa mattina dal Console Generale USA a Milano Philip Reeker, che è stato ricevuto dal sindaco in Municipio, insieme al Console per gli Affari politici ed Economici Cristopher P. Jester.
