Good wine boosts the economy. And we are not only referring to the bottles opened and the glasses raised: compared to last fall, the 2015 harvest will be greeted by a 25% growth in arrivals in the "Open Cellars" across Italy.
At least, these are the estimates of the Movimento Turismo del Vino (MTV - Wine Tourism Movement) which brings together 1,000 large, medium and small producers from every corner of Italy, who combined traditional winemaking with tourism.
