Genoa boat show 2024: one out of every two boats in the world's seas is Made in Italy

The 64th Genoa Boat Show opens today. Tthe Genoese docks have been expanded to accommodate new stands with boats and watercraft of all kinds, from small sails and up to yachts of thirty meters and more. To see are the vast range of accessories, from causal and technical clothing suitable for sailors and tourists, to the latest in cutting-edge vehicles such as Rhibs (inflatable boats with rigid keels), and also institutional moments, such as the Design Innovation Award, in which excellence and innovation in the nautical market is honored.

With a restyling signed by Renzo Piano, the show has these numbers: more than a thousand brands on display and 1,030 boats, in a seamless path. In total, 220 thousand square meters of areas between land and water, with 85% outdoors and 5,000 square meters more than 2023. The number of foreign exhibitors increases by 23 in the production segment alone, to which are added more than 100 new products with 30 premiers. In 2023, global leadership in Italian superyacht production registered +21% over the previous year holding 51% of global orders: one out of every two boats in the world's seas is Made in Italy.
