Interesting Engineering sat down with designer and innovator Amleto Picerno Ceraso at the 2023 Maker Faire in Rome. His architecture and design firm, Medarrch, creates products where digital technologies mix with a humanistic approach to design, using bioplastics to create the most stunning 3-D printed furniture. Medarrh’s mission, according to Ceraso, is “to push the made-in-Italy tradition into a new worldwide landscape, revamping the made-in-Italy tradition.”
They started the company in 2007 in Cava de’ Tirreni, on the Amalfi Coast. The company uses ethical and sustainable design methods that combine "digital technologies and a humanistic approach" with the goal of creating tailor-made products that are ecologically produced.
