This Hidden Beach Tucked Behind a Fjord Is Italy’s Best-kept Secret

Italy’s Amalfi Coast is already famed for its magnificent natural attractions, including a gorgeous rugged coastline and crystal-clear beaches. If you’re in search of such a beach where you’ll find incredible scenery, head to the town of Furore, located in the Campania region of Italy, where a gigantic fjord opens up to create its very own hidden beach. 

The narrow bay of the fjord invites those who descend down the long staircase that leads to the bottom to enjoy the inlet, while a bridge that spans the length of the fjord allows you to look down and get a magnificent view over the area. Carved by the cascading waters of the Schiato River over centuries, the fjord creates a natural amphitheater that's also host to the Marmeeting High Diving World Championship and a popular stop for locals in the summer.
