A new railway link will directly connect Rome airport and the main cities in central and northern Italy. It will take 2 hours and 14 minutes to arrive in Florence and 2 hours 59 to get to Bologna, while a longer ride would be required to Padua (3 hours and 57 minutes) and Venice (4 hours and 12 minutes).
The new high-speed routes will start working on December 14; trains will depart from Rome Fiumicino Airport and, via two Rome stops (Termini and Tiburtina) they will carry passengers to central and north-eastern Italy.
