Industria 4.0 business investment incentives package swells to €13 bn

When he finished his presentation of a €13 billion public spending plan designed to stimulate business investment yesterday, Prime Minister Matteo Renzi turned to his audience of entrepreneurs and said jokingly he imagined they "want to hurry back to work to generate GDP growth, something which we certainly need."


In his final remarks at theIndustria 4.0 presentation, Renzi spoke of a "positive reading for the country" and of "opportunities" that businesses "must seize." His comments reflected the approach followed by Economic Development Minister Carlo Calenda in preparing the plan, which assigns "€13 billion of public funds to activate innovative investment."
