"A month to a month and a half." That is how long Italian artist Angelo Filomeno works on one of his pieces for. "I never work on more than one piece at a time. I don't have multiple projects going on," Filomeno said. "If I were to work on more than one idea my head would be hit with multiple axes and explode."
When depicting this idea that his head would explode via axes, Filomeno was actually referencing one of his sculptures: a sterling silver skull with a real axe stuck in it, and silver blood dripping on a table. Although his main work is not with sculptures, Filomeno incorporates skulls wherever he can.
