Italian beauty companies experienced a significant growth in their economic systems in the first half of the year. According to data provided by the National Institute for Statistics (ISTAT), a supplier of official statistical information in Italy, beauty exports were up by 11.3 percent in the first six months, despite a decline of 30.3 percent in the Russian market.
Exports were also down 0.2 percent in Germany, but registered a hefty plus in Hong Kong (up 30.7 percent), United Arab Emirates (up 33.9 percent) and the U.K. (up 24.2 percent). Also notable is an increase of 21.3 percent in the U.S. The data analysis of the ISTAT showed that creams, water toiletries and hair lotions were up by 10.2 percent, 13.5 percent and 14.3 percent respectively in the first semester of the year.
