The farmland Province of Verona Castagnaro, in the north of Italy, is now the exhibition space for a new kind of art. Italian land artist Dario Gambarin enjoys a challenge. Working freehand with just a tractor and plow, Gambarin has created a new piece of art in celebration of the Jubilee of Mercy, which begins on December 8th in Rome.
This 24,000 square meter work shows the suffering Christ, who witnesses the difficulties of all people. Underneath the picture is text to commemorate the year. It reads "JUBILAEUM MISERICORDIAE 2015-2016."
