In the new episode of the show, I propose a lecture on the concept of “Made in Italy” which I had the pleasure to present last summer as a keynote address at the International Conference of the Canadian Association of Italian Studies (CAIS). Enjoy the lecture here.
In my presentation, which aims at overcoming cheap definitions and exploring the inner core of Italy’s model, I isolate three main elements underlying Italian cultural and entrepreneurial success: the creativity of limit, the planning of design as storytelling, and the temperate balance of different voices. I hope this reflection can shed some light on a label that is often used as a shortcut, but which contains more, much more.
