Juventus centre-back Giorgio Chiellini has been offered a contract by MLS side LAFC, sources have told The Athletic. Chiellini, 37, still has another year left to run on his Juventus contract but one source has said he could move to the MLS in time for the 2023 season which begins next spring.
LAFC did not offer Chiellini a designated player contract, meaning they would not be able to pay the veteran Italian more than $1.65 million (£1.31 million) for the 2023 campaign. The sources did not specify if Chiellini is still considering the offer to end his 18-year association with Juventus.
