What a day! The team got down to the boat early Saturday to set the flags, both California and USA. It's been funny over the years how the California flag garners louder cheers than the U.S. flag.
Well, kinda funny. They love the SoCal boys over here, and we plan to not disappoint.
The 18th-century gondola replica floats in what we call the bat cave. It's so classic to be in the boat and push the buttons for the old gate and watch the canal appear in front of us. We pull the boat out like we are pulling out of the garage in an Italian sports car.
