The President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation with the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, to whom she wished first of all to express her personal and the Italian government's feelings of solidarity for the terrible devastation caused by the fires in California.
During the conversation, the President of the Council conveyed to President Biden his deep thanks and appreciation for the extraordinary cooperation in the framework of the exceptional bilateral relations and on all international policy issues, as also confirmed in the framework of the Italian G7 Presidency.
In this regard, President Biden wished to recall, in particular, the importance of the result achieved with the agreement to disburse $50 billion in loans to Ukraine from the profits derived from Russia's immovable sovereign assets.
