In the heart of the hills of Val Borbera, in the province of Alessandria, amidst fascinating mountain views, lies Vendersi, a hamlet of the municipality of Albera Ligure. This charming village, which seems to have come out of a fairy tale, is known to all as "The Land of the Scarecrows". Its peculiarity, that of having a variety of scarecrows scattered among the surrounding houses and countryside, attracts visitors and onlookers from all over.
The idea of turning Vendersi into the "Land of the Scarecrows" emerged in 2019 from two townspeople who decided to breathe new life into their beloved village, which over time has seen many people leave. Against a backdrop of emptying and increasing economic hardship, a desire was born to make the village a tourist attraction, capable of evoking smiles and wonder in visitors of all ages.
