The Sister Cities Open Golf Tournament took place the first week of October. The tournament began Oct. 2 and teams played over a two-day, 42-hole challenge in both Italy and Toledo. Five teams of two played between Ferrara and Sylvania during the first edition of the tournament. The second edition will take place as part of the Italian Bowl week in late June 2025.  

The Northwest Ohio team players were Chris Bosinger, Aubrey Hornsby, Mike McCarthy, Josh Jones, Erik Kyle, Louis Fahrbach, JP Ankney, Pat Giammarco, Jeremy Nordquist and Warren Blazy. Sister Cities Northwest Ohio contingent received an official welcome by the Ferrara Mayor and his staff at the city hall, and had a chance to try Ferrara’s restaurants while visiting the city.
