Special Olympics world Winter Games 2025 in Italy: a celebration of inclusion, courage, and unity

The 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games are about to begin in Italy, in the stunning region of Piedmont. The slogan "The Future is Here" is fitting for an event that, from March 8 to 15, will involve over 1,500 athletes from 102 countries, competing in Torino, Sestriere, Bardonecchia, and Pragelato. This event is not only about sports, but also about inclusivity and hospitality.
 
Athletes will compete in 8 disciplines: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, dance sport, figure skating, floorball, snowboarding, snowshoe racing, and speed skating. More than 1,000 coaches and delegates, 2,000 volunteers, and around 100,000 spectators are expected to attend from all over the world.
