The Mario Fratti Award is won each year by the author of an original play in Italian or Italian dialect, never-before produced or published. The theme of this year's Mario Fratti Award is "Mothers." Entries are free to tackle this theme is any way and from any point of view.
The jury evaluates each entry according to the following selection criteria:
Quality of the writing
Originality of the subject matter
Treatment of the Award's theme
Universality
The top three entries are evaluated by Mario Fratti himself against the above criteria. He then personally selects the winning play. For further info click here
