Fiat's version of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will debut later this year. The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider was confirmed earlier this year at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and Edmunds reports that it'll debut either at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show or the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The roadster will arrive in dealerships next year and will compete directly with the MX-5 and MINI Cooper Roadster. The nameplate goes back to the 1960s when the Fiat 124 Sport Spider was produced from 1966 to 1980. Back then, it was a compact 2+2 convertible.
