On the occasion of the "21st Week of the Italian Language in the World” the Embassy of Italy is pleased to announce a Contest for students of the Italian language in the United States. Each year, the Week has a different underlying theme for a vast cultural program to advance the promotion of the Italian language.
This year in coincidence with the 700 years since the death of the great poet Dante Alighieri the theme is "Dante, l’italiano" ("Dante, the Italian language"). Students individually or in group are asked to tell in a short essay up to 300 words or with a graphic representation the journey of Dante in the Divina Commedia.
