Political candidates are often thought of as being guarded about their lives. Here in the Southern Tier, WSKG wanted to get a more personal look at the two candidates running for the state senate: Republican Fred Akshar and Democrat Barbara Fiala.
Who better to provide personal insight on them than people close to them? For Fiala, it's her sister. On a walk through downton Binghamton, Anna Marie Di Stefano stops in front of Christopher Columbus School. It's here where she realized Fiala is not above matchingmaking.
