The USA just turned a little more Azzurri blue, with two Italian players ready to compete in the new Athletes Unlimited Softball League. In the recent draft, Erika Piancastelli and Isabella Dayton were selected to be part of the new league, which starts in a few months.
Piancastelli recently signed with Collecchio in Serie A1 and was taken at 29 in the draft by the Volts. Dayton was selected at 46 and will play for the Bandits. Starting this summer, the two Italian athletes will participate in the league with four teams: Bandits, Blaze, Talons, and Volts.
