Why change a winning formula? We're guessing that's what Francis Ford Coppola has been asking himself before embarking on his new project: a currently untitled film that will focus an Italian-American family and span their experiences over thirty years (from 1930s to 1960s).
We imagine Coppola'll be rewatching his classic The Godfather since this was a similarly ambitious family saga in terms of its timings, spanning 1945-1955. His last story of Italian-Americans was all the way back in 1990 with The Godfather III. Coppola is also set to pen the coming-of-age drama.
