The 2021-22 edition of Serie A, Italian soccer’s top division, kicks off on Saturday, August 21, 2021 (8/21/21), when defending champion Inter Milan hosts Genoa at San Siro in Milan, Italy. Fans in the United States can watch the contest, as well as the vast majority of matches during the league season, for free via a trial of Paramount+.
Inter Milan attempts to defend its Italian league title without the manager (Antonio Conte) and star striker (Romelu Lukaku) that led them to the mountaintop a year ago. It will be challenged by Juventus and star Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as city neighbor AC Milan and dark horses Napoli, Roma (with manager Jose Mourinho) and Lazio.
