North American streamer MHz Choice has picked up US and Canadian rights to Italian drama The Sea Beyond (Mare fuori) through a deal with the show’s international distributor Beta Films. Under the agreement, the first four seasons of the show will premiere exclusively on MHz Choice, with season one launching this autumn.

Created by Cristiana Farina and co-written with Maurizio Careddu, the RAI series follows two young men whose resilience and loyalties are tested while serving time in a juvenile detention center on the Gulf of Naples. It stars Nicolas Maupas and Massimiliano Caiazzo.
