The 2023 World Baseball Classic is set for March and there is a lot of excitement on the international baseball scene. Sixteen of the 20 teams have been determined already as Chinese Taipei, the Netherlands, Cuba, and Italy are in Pool A, Japan, South Korea, Australia and China are in Pool B, the United States, Mexico, Colombia and Canada are in Pool C, and Puerto Rico, Israel, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic are in Pool D.

On Friday, the United States named their manager as Mark DeRosa was given the managerial duties. DeRosa of Passaic, New Jersey played 16 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Washington Nationals and Toronto Blue Jays from 1998 to 2013.
