Super Sunday is the day when the National Football League celebrates the legend and legacy of its most iconic coach — Vince Lombardi. The Tiffany trophy presented to the winner is named for the coach who won five championships in the 1960s, including the first two Super Bowls with the Green Bay Packers. He died of colon cancer in 1970 at age 57.
Although he did not coin the phrase, "Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing,'' he popularized it. And he won. His players feared him, hated him and loved him all at the same time, and he had a profound impact on their lives.
